With war in Italy imminent, the factions governing the mighty African City of Carthage conspire to extend their city's influence in Sicily. Encouraged by his Syracusan captain Hieron, Pyrrhus contemplates an alliance with Syracuse, the leading Greek city in Sicily. Meanwhile, as the Greek cities of Sicily struggle to preserve their freedom, the convoluted web of intrigue spun by the Carthaginian general Himalgo and his agent Calisto engulfs the prostitute Tansia, her protector, Tanos and her mysterious lover.

I get hung up on things I like a lot, and right now I'm on a Rome 2 kick. This book is giving anything I could ask, mainly great story. Only thing is, I do wish there was more about Pyrrhus. As you can tell, I play as Epirus. ;)
